Essential Oil Pairings
By now, you would be aware that we are taking you through ways of using our Vedaearth essential oils and how to get the best of them, by writing guide blogs on various related topics.
Each essential oil is crafted carefully and each of them have properties that help with the wellness of your body and soul.
But what about the various combinations you can have with our essential oils? Let’s talk pairings today, people. Instead of the traditional approach of listing each oil and talking about pairing other oils with it, we have decided to go with optimal pairings for each use.
When it comes to hair, all the different combinations of our essential oils would work (when added to a carrier oil; don’t forget!). However, the most optimal pairings would be lavender and geranium essential oils (to help your hair become soft) and tea tree and lemon essential oils (to cure dandruff and oily scalp). Choose between one of the two pairings and add both oils to coconut or olive oil and apply to hair.
The most common skin issues we face (mostly due to climate) are acne, dry skin and insect bites. The pairing of tea tree and peppermint essential oils are optimal for maintaining skin quality (when combating acne and skin issues like acne, psoriasis and rosacea). Combining lavender and geranium essential oils helps in soothing the skin and healing insect bites.
For chapped and dry lips, the most ideal pairing would be our lavender and peppermint essential oils. These need to be added to coconut oil or liquified shea butter, left to solidify, and then used as a lip balm. Make sure not to lick the balm off your lips though!
We have spoken about diffusers and their usage in our previous blog. In terms of pairings, the combination of lemon and peppermint essential oils (to rid the environment of overpowering and unpleasant odours) would be the best. However, our peppermint essential oil can also be paired with the geranium one (to aid in insomnia and stress reduction) when using a diffuser.
Before you start pairing your Essential Oils though, you can recap with our blogs on How to use Essential Oils and approach the diffuser. Also, check out our final blog to know What not to do while using Essential Oils.
